“Shall I Compare Thee to a Summer’s Day?”

Shall I compare thee to a summer's day? Thou art more lovely and more temperate: Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May, And summer's lease hath all too short a date: Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines, And often is his gold complexion dimm'd; And every fair from fair sometime declines, By chance, or nature's changing course, untrimm'd; But thy eternal summer shall not fade, Nor lose possession of that fair thou owest; Nor shall Death brag thou wander'st in his shade, When in eternal lines to time thou growest; So long as men can breathe, or eyes can see, So long lives this, and this gives life to thee. William Shakepeare (1564 - 1616)

Summer Fun

Father's Day
The summer is flying by so fast. On Father's Day the kids and I cooked breakfast for Daddy. The kids and Shadow had a lot of fun washing his car, getting wet, and enjoying a warm summer day. We ate at Golden Corral and came home stuffed.  The girls had their fill of ice cream and strawberries.  Jeff enjoyed all the festivities of Father's Day. He's a great Dad and we all love him very much!

She had several friends over for a pool party, then pizza and gifts.  On her actual birthday which was June 25th she opened all the other gifts from the family, when to the pool that afternoon and had her favorite food for dinner "hamburgers" :) She was so excited to hit the double digit finally. More pictures to come soon.

Kids at Pool
Here's another photo of the kids at the pool. This was our first time at this pool the girls and Kyler really enjoyed it. They all love the water.  I guess they got that from growing up in Florida.

More to come soon!

May 1 - May 18

Indiana%202007014.jpgOn May 1st Bianca took a tour of her new school. She really liked it. Annabel toured her school on April 28th. We had a garage sale over the weekend of May 3-4. We made a whopping $78!! Annabel celebrated her Medieval Festival at her school. She sold cookies. Bianca had her Reader's Theater performance. She was the sound effects person. She also had a graduation party for her 6th grade class. Our friend, Anna Potalyak from Siberia, graduated from UMKC on Friday, May 9th. We got to meet her Granny and taste some Russian treats after the festivities. On the 10th, we enjoyed the Sideways School play the Coterie. The kids thought it was hilarious. Kyler got a little scared at times. Everybody had dental appointments the week of the 12th - 16th. No cavities - yay!! Bianca's soccer team lost 2-0 on Saturday, but they played very well in the second half. Everyone had a great time at Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead on Saturday. It was 84 degrees. We even got sunburns. The girls' last day at Heartland is Tuesday. My recent doctor's appointment revealed that my placenta is low. The next ultrasound is June 2nd. If it's still low, I may need a c-section. Please pray that God will correct this. Kyler and the girls did alot of planting of Spring flowers this weekend. The yard looks good. The bees love our flowering bushes. Watch out!! The girls will see Prince Caspian on Thursday. They are very excited. The picture you see above is from June 2007, when we went to Indiana for Jeff's high school reunion. I will get some more recent photos up soon - I promise! Jeff is buried in studies for his masters degree.  Keep him in your prayers. I hope everyone is doing well. God bless until the next blog entry.     Regina

It's A Boy!

April 21 - 28 - 2008 - 1971222-1510079-thumbnail.jpgThe doctor told me this week that we are having another boy! The girls are very excited. All Kyler knows is that he is going to have another playmate. Daddy is very proud - two and two!! We have just begin to think about names. Any ideas?

Bianca's soccer team played one of their better games of the season. It's tough because they are sixth graders playing mostly seventh grade girls. They lost 2-0 but played one of their better games of the year.  Bianca had some really good plays.

We went to Crown Center to see the play "Sideways Stories From Wayside School." It was sold out. Comforting.  But we have tickets for the play on May 10th.  You can read more about it here.
